The Pogues

Irish folk-rock band, playing mainly songs written by Shane MacGowan and traditional songs. Also some instrumentals.

(The main members are/have been Shane MacGowan (vocals), 
Jimmy Fearnley (b 1954) (accordion), Jem Finer (banjo), Cait O'Riordan (bass, vocals), 
Spider Stacey (tin whistle, vocals), Andrew Ranken (drums)
(Shane McGowan has also recorded with The Popes and The Nips)
(Terry Woods has recorded with Steeleye Span and Sweeney's Men)
(Cait O'Riordan is married to Elvis Costello)
("Pogue Mahone" is Irish Gaelic for "Kiss My Arse")
